Cute, but smells really musty

I was so excited to see such a cute mat for in front of my keyboard. I purchased two, one for my home and one for my office, and the minute I opened the box there was a waft of must. It’s permeating both of the rugs. I’m going to try to remove the smell as I’m too lazy to send them back, but it’s really disappointing. Would not purchase again.
