Meet Esme, a rug inspired by the delicate beauty of butterflies in flight. Bold, bright and full of energy. This butterfly rug is cut to the full shape of its wings and tufted on a deep black base. Leafy lime and emerald green spread out from the center, with flame orange, tangerine and soft peach across the wings. Powder-blue spots and green stripes line the wingtips, and pale blue edging frames the lower wings, which are speckled with black dots. Carved lines trace every vein and marking for a layered, almost painterly look.
We blended 30% wool with 70% Tencel for a rug that’s as soft as it is striking. Wool brings warmth, bounce and natural durability, and Tencel adds a silky hand and a gentle sheen. You can see that sheen in the glowing greens and oranges. Against the dark base, the colors look even richer.

Accidents happen, especially in high-traffic areas. But worry not! Our rug is easy to clean and maintain. Simply spot clean with a damp cloth or vacuum regularly (in the same direction - no beater bar) to keep it looking fresh and vibrant. Due to their handcrafted nature, each rug will be slightly unique.
